Turkey: 26% Increase in Foreign Real Estate Sales
Ankara (Zaman Arabic) – 2119 properties were sold to foreigners during the last November, according to the report of the Turkish Statistics Authority about residential sales statistics for November month.
The report said that the Iraqis have come in the forefront of foreign buyers hitting 495 residential units’ sales, and were followed respectively by Saudis 226 apartment, and Kuwaiti 193 property, and then Russians by 193 real estate, then Afghan by 98 houses.
Turkish Statistical Authority stated that real estate sales in November 2015 reached 106 thousand and 8 Real Estate, increasing 2.1 percent compared to the same month of last year. Istanbul got the highest share of sales amount of 18.9 percent by 20 thousand and 82 properties, followed by the capital Ankara at a rate of 10.7 percent by 11 thousand and 368 apartment, and then Izmir at a rate of 6.2 percent by six thousand and 522 properties.
As per foreign real estate sales Istanbul take the lead in November by 703 properties, followed respectively by Antalya 539 properties, and then 149 apartment for Bursa, Yalova 138 properties, Sakarya 87 properties, and Ankara by 80 properties.
