New Decision Allows the Palestinian to Own Property in Turkey
The Department of Foreign Affairs of the Tabu Directorate issued a new decision allowing the Palestinians to own real estate in Turkey, whereas the previous decision only allowed Palestinians holding passports of the Palestinian Authority or the Jordanian passport to own real estate in Turkey.
Among the facilities stipulated in the new resolution is that Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, Egypt and Iraq can now use their country’s travel document to enter Turkey to buy and own property.
Execution of the decision
The new decision, which gave these facilities activated in March 2019, provided that Palestinians holding the required residence permit document to stay in Turkey from the Migration Management.
Turkish citizenship now is available to Palestinians
This decision allows the Palestinians who own real estate in Turkey the opportunity to apply for Turkish citizenship if they own a real estate investment of $ 250,000, like other investors of other nationalities.
This includes the properties under construction, provided that they are not less than $ 250,000, and must pledge to the property registrar not to sell it for 3 years.
