Istanbul tops the Turkish tourist cities in 2018

According to a report by the Turkish Ministry of Culture, Istanbul topped the list of the most visited Turkish cities by foreign tourists during the first seven months of 2018, with 31 million and 340 thousand foreign tourists. In addition, the ministry declared that nearly 8 million foreign tourists entered Turkey via Istanbul, followed by Antalya with 6 million tourists, and the number of tourists with 2 million.

Istanbul is a destination for tourists from all over the world. It is one of the largest cities in Turkey and the world’s fifth most populous city. Istanbul is a very large cultural, economic and financial center in the world. The city stretches along the European and Asian sides of the Bosphorus Strait, the only city between Europe and Asia.

This beautiful city has many sights, from ancient palaces and mosques, many shops in the Grand Bazaar. Where the visitor will have the opportunity to visit the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia as well as Topkapi Palace, and many other spice bazaars, Suleymaniye Mosque, Galata Tower, and Taksim Square.
